I would like to focus on few things at the football academy:
– teaching coaches. To help them to grow at coaching, and to apply better life skills lessons to practices.
– to get closer to parents of children.
To work with parents can have great potential to find volunteers, new coaches but also help them be closer with their kids. Statistics says that average Ukrainian father spend only 3 minutes per day with their children. So through organizing some activities parents, coaches and children we can a bit change that bad statistic.
We started project ”Leadership foundation Standard” together with my friend Sergey Terentiev (who is at same time pastor in one Rivne church) at 2016. During last 2.5 years we did lots of training for teenagers which helps them to prepare better for life. It is trainings on leadership, art of communication, time-management, conflict resolving etc. We also doing seminars for parents. It become more and more popular in the city and different people put their children to our trainings. What is very good, many of them know that the leader of this project is pastor of protestant church but they are not afraid to give their children to trainings (in general in Ukraine there is lots of prejudices about protestants).
This autumn the whole team of leadership foundation started the new project – Christian school ”Light”. It is new project that can have big influence in the future. In Ukraine there is not developed system of private schools and especially ”Christian schools”. But Sergey Terentiev with his team already has some experience in education process, and after lots of discussion, doubting, prayers, conversation we started this school.
