My name is Nestor Carrillo. I was born and raised in La Paz Baja, California Sur, México and I’ve been a Jesús’ follower since 2005. I grew up in a Baptist Church, and almost since the beginning of my walk with Christ, God started to use me as a youth leader and as a part of the worship team.
In 2007 I knew God called me to be a pastor, but it was just recently that I had the opportunity to access formal education in ministry. In 2018 I graduated from La Huerta, School of Missions and Pastoral Ministry and I’ve been serving as an Assistant Pastor at Calvary Chapel La Paz ever since. This season of my life and ministry has been an amazing adventure. I’m a first-hand witness of the mercy and faithfulness of God in every step of the way.
I believe in God’s plan of redemption. I believe he wants to bring life and freedom to people trapped in sin. I’m totally committed to God and the establishment of his kingdom. I’m here to serve God and the people that he loves. That’s what I do in the local church, serving as pastor for young adults and teenagers. My heart wants to see young people coming to Christ and finding Truth, freedom, love and a God worth following. Teaching and preaching the Word of God are two of my favorite things to do. I love helping people know more of the Scripture, and know more of God so they can know God more. God’s still working on me, I know there’s a long journey ahead of me but he has promised to be with us until the end of the world. I want to rest in this promise. I want to depend on God alone.
Thank you for considering supporting what God is doing here in my beautiful city of La Paz, through the local church and the ministry he has called me to. My prayer is to always trust in him in every area of my life, and to have the courage to be obedient to his voice. God bless you.
