Clifford and Rebecca serve together with their young son, Gabriel, in the southern district of Belize: Toledo. They have a heart to help people see the power of lives changed by Jesus Christ through discipleship.
Rebecca served here from 2002 to 2013 as a single missionary. During the first six years her primary focus was teaching high school to the children of local pastors, but during that time recognized the need to provide spiritual teaching in the native languages, rather than in English. Being able to communicate at a basic level in a second language is far different from being able to absorb deep spiritual truths. From 2008 to 2012, she worked with Clifford and two other native Belizeans writing, translating, and teaching Bible studies in two of the local languages. In 2013, they discovered the power of small group discipleship.
Clifford is Mopan Maya, and a native of southern Belize. He has served in his local church for many years, and has a heart for youth. They were married in 2015, and have spent several years in the United States together. They currently spend part of each year in Belize and look forward to seeing God transform lives in their village and surrounding communities through small group discipleship. Clifford spends much of his ministry time mentoring youth, as well as new leaders for youth ministry. He also helps serve in the local church. Rebecca serves as a volunteer adjunct professor at Belize Bible College, helping to educate young Belizeans seeking to further their understanding of God’s Word as well as those seeking to go into ministry. Because of today’s technology, Rebecca is able to teach for the college online when they are Stateside, although she much prefers in-person teaching.
