Betsy has called Guatemala home since 2013. After a decade long service in ministry serving vulnerable children, she has turned her focus to young adults who have lived in institutional care and are aging out of the system. Her ministry serves young women from hard places, with a Biblical emphasis on education, health, relationships and decision making.
In 2020, Betsy welcomed Julie and her young son, Josue into her home, allowing the Lord to create a beautiful picture of family. As a family, they aim to demonstrate the Lord’s love and hospitality in their home for those who may not have a place to call home. Julie is a university student, and Josue is a thriving elementary student. Betsy’s personal ministry and their family ministry seeks to demonstrate the way that the Lord works perfectly in us as we trust in Him.
