Hi! We’re Miguel and Angela Martinez!
With over 20 years of combined experience as missionaries, God has opened the door for us to come alongside missionaries through training and mentorship. At This is Vida, our heart is to see missionaries walk fully in their callings and thrive as they share the love of Jesus Christ around the world. We’ve developed a threefold ministry to make this vision a reality:
1. Training Missionaries
Man
y missionaries step onto the field without adequate preparation, which often leads to unnecessary hardships. We believe that with access to proper training and resources, missionaries can serve longer, with greater impact, and with the freedom to do what God has called them to do.
2. Mentorship
Burnout is a common challenge for missionaries on the field, but we know that God desires more for each of His servants. Through mentorship, we aim to guide missionaries back to a place of health—spiritually, emotionally, and physically—so they can fulfill their calling with joy and thrive in every area of life.
3. Church Training
Many churches faithfully commission missionaries and provide financial support, which is vital and deeply appreciated. But what if the church, as the body of Christ, cared for missionaries in a more holistic way? We are here to bridge the gap between churches and missionaries, equipping churches to provide the spiritual, emotional, and practical support their missionaries need.
We are honored to serve those who are serving others and to support those called to share the love of Jesus with the world. We believe that missionaries who are well-equipped, have someone to lean on during challenging times, and are surrounded by a strong church community will thrive on the mission field.
