My name is Joe Zininga. I was born and raised in Zimbabwe 52 years ago and am also the founder of Total Harvest Ministries. I am blessed to be the father of two beautiful daughters, aged 16 and 22, who love the Lord wholeheartedly.
I first heard God’s call in 1988 while I was still in high school. During that time, I became actively involved in leadership roles and ministry activities. After finishing high school, the call of God upon my life grew stronger. However, as I was still maturing in my walk with God and hesitant to give up my job, it took me some time to fully respond to the call.
In 1999, I surrendered completely to the work of ministry under the leadership of a local, anointed man of God in Zimbabwe. I faithfully pursued ministry under his guidance until I felt a strong burden for mission work, specifically ministering to unreached people groups in the 10/40 Window.
After much prayer and seeking God’s direction, I felt called to South Africa—a nation where I had no connections and no resources. Trusting God for provision and guidance, I moved to South Africa, found work, and began learning the culture while seeking opportunities to minister.
It wasn’t an easy journey, but in March 2016, Total Harvest Ministries was born in Cape Town. The ministry began to grow steadily until the COVID-19 pandemic brought significant challenges. The pandemic caused great financial strain, and I experienced a heartbreaking loss when my wife of more than 20 years passed away. These challenges made ministry difficult, but by God’s grace, I was able to persevere.
God, in His faithfulness, brought restoration into my life, and in Nov 2023, I remarried a beautiful, God-fearing woman who is deeply supportive of the ministry. Today, we lead a small congregation in Cape Town, South Africa, as we continue to trust God for His provision and guidance.
My passion remains deeply rooted in missions—reaching the least-reached nations, particularly those in the 10/40 Window. I am also committed to raising and equipping Christian business leaders who can become financial pillars for the Gospel and resource the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
