Suzy Uyechi is serving Mavuno Village in Tanzania, Africa. Mavuno Village is a community of culturally rooted, agriculturally minded, Christ-centered children’s homes in Tanzania. Mavuno Village serves orphaned and vulnerable children by caring for them in family-style homes with national parents. Here, the children attend church and school, learn how to farm, and grow up in a nurturing environment. Suzy has always had a heart for vulnerable children and has two adopted kids of her own.
As the communications coordinator, Suzy is working stateside from Parker, Colorado to support the Mavuno Village ministry. Her work involves staying in touch with supporters, managing the website and other online communication, project fundraising, managing child sponsorship, plus occasional travel to Tanzania.
