I am the base manager at YWAM Nelson New Zealand as well as the worship leader as well as on the base leadership. My role is to make sure everything is running smoothly, and the main thing stays the main thing. It’s hard to define my role as I do so much around here, and anyone who has worked with YWAM will know the job never stops. I try to only work 8am-5pm, 5-6 days a week, but when you live on site and only leave to go to church or worship practice you definitely work much longer. A quick testimony: last week we had 5 people that got baptized and I got to be part of that process.

I am also on the upcoming DTS (Discipleship Training School) outreach team and will be going to the 10 40 window for 3-4 months in May and then the school after that in September for another 6 months. I mentor a few young men and some older men an hour a week as well as give music lessons. We have a 1 on 1 model that everyone on base is encouraged to follow sowing into others as well as have people sow into you.
