Gerardo Zambrano

We are Gerardo and Judith Zambrano and we are grateful for your interest in getting to know us and our ministry.

As many other Mexicans we both were born and raised in Catholic homes, following the traditions of our fathers but without a personal faith in God.  I (Gerardo) heard the message of salvation while attending a conference of Campus Crusade for Christ (now cru). Judith also came to trust Him a few years earlier through a meeting sponsored by Cru.

After graduation we decided to invest our lives bringing the Gospel to those around us full time. Judith and I have been serving Christ in Mexico for over thirty years through the ministry of Cru. The first fourteen years we ministered on Campus, evangelizing and discipling college students. Also we use to train new campus staff and lead the ministry in the city.

Then we felt that God was leading us to pursue further studies so we move to Dallas for four exciting years and me (Gerardo) graduate ThM from DTS. Judith audited a large number of classes in counseling because helping others is something that she enjoys a lot. Right after that, we move back to Mexico to a city called Puebla, about 2 hours south east of Mexico city.

Jesus commanded us to share the gospel to every person. In our world there are around 5 billion people that need to trust Christ as their Savior. We would like every one of them to know someone who is truly following Jesus. That is why we are planting a church called el Faro “The lighthouse”.

Another ministry that the Lord is giving us is helping in the training of future pastors and missionaries through formal teaching as an adjunct professor at the Puebla Bible Seminary (SBP).

We believe that the church is the most powerful vehicle for world evangelization.

In order to fulfill our vision we are trusting God for a group of people to share a part of this dream with us. We would like to invite you to join us through your prayers and also financially.

Thank you also for your love for God and your care for us.

In Christ,Gerardo and Judith Zambrano
