I served 25-years Active Duty in the USAF and retired in 2017 as a Colonel. My bride, Kelly, and I were married in Kerrville in August 1992 and we have three children. Kiera, Garrett, and Leigha. I have taught high school since 2017.
I accepted Christ Jesus as my Lord and Savior at the age of 10 in Saudi Arabia where my dad was working for an American company. Upon returning to the USA in 1984, I made my public profession of faith in Jesus Christ and in obedience to the Lord’s command, was baptized at the age of 15. Then the real journey began! Following a family tragedy and a period of deep grief and brokenness, the Holy Spirit manifested himself to me in the most powerful way I have ever experienced. During that experience, He clearly directed me to “Go to the Cross” and “Minister there.” This was a “calling” of the Lord Jesus to minister at the Empty Cross of Kerrville and my heart is to tell my Lord “yes” to whatever He asks of me. I choose to humbly obey Him and follow Him in and through His power and grace. As a Chaplain at the “Empty Cross” of Kerrville, I enjoy ministering and sharing the good news of Jesus to all those who “come and see” what this special place is all about. A blessing awaits all who come with an open heart! Victory is possible. Hope is real, and hope has a name…. and His name is Jesus.
