We moved into a low income and overlooked neighborhood, Prentis Park in the most violent city in the state of Virginia, Portsmouth. We are full time pursuing a vision of Kingdom transformation of the neighborhood as Jesus multiplies His church through homes. Our home is a safe place where individuals, kids and whole households are unconditionally loved and welcomed. Our purpose is to share the love of Jesus in any way possible do backyard kids clubs, bible studies, drug wound care for prostitutes and street walkers, community meals with neighbors around our table, cookouts, basketball, baptisms in the backyard, committed 1-on-1 discipleship with those saved, and more. We have seen over a dozen individuals surrender their lives to Jesus, glory to God. A 77 year old gentleman named Robert just surrendered his life to Jesus last Thursday, a Muslim who Cameron has been meeting with doing Bible study on his porch for over two years. The amazing part is that a 23 year old gentleman named Richardo who was saved during a porch Bible study a year, 2 blocks from Roberts house, helped to lead Robert to Christ by sharing his own personal testimony. That is the kids of multiplicative discipleship we are passionate to see. Hallelujah.
Anna and I are uniquely and equally gifted and called by God and are both engaged in the ministry and are therefore both pursuing ordination for the reasons discussed with Mike over the phone last week. Anna can share more on her application but she is integral in the relationships she has formed with many of the single moms and grandmas in the community, as well as with the prostitutes who stand on our street corner in our front yard. She also leads a Bible-based literacy club out of our home every week where kids in the neighborhood come to learn how to read and write while also experiencing and encountering the love of Jesus.
Cameron & Anna raise support through CTEN. They both have a Ministerial Ordination with CMN.
