The Malay family mission is to plant seeds of hope based on the Truth of God’s Word so that individuals might find freedom to follow their God-given dreams! Patrick and Amy first participated in overseas mission work in the late 1990’s through YWAM (Youth With a Mission). They enjoy traveling and learning to know new people in new places. Most recently, Amy has followed God’s leading to teach Biblical leadership and personal growth lessons to pastors and ministry leaders in the 10|40 Window. She loves equipping those who may not have access to this type of training. Patrick accompanies her and participates in prayer and by sharing his testimony. Their son, Jebastin and his wife, Lavanya, also accompany them at times for teaching/speaking engagements. Jebastin also enjoys public speaking and has been sharing in some of the teaching sessions.
Amy also leads a weekly Biblical leadership class via Zoom. It is an international group of pastors, missionaries, and nonprofit leaders called “The Pursuit of Potential.” The group began meeting in April 2020 and it has continued since then. Many in the group share testimonies of how the class is equipping them for personal growth in ministry and leadership. Anyone who desires to grow in their leadership is welcome to join the group.
Amy is the primary speaker in the family and she is available to speak internationally (in-person or virtually) to small or large groups on topics like these:
Your Story Could Be the Key | Weapons of a Humble Warrior | Beauty for Ashes | Living on the Other Side of Yes | Adopted by Adonai | In the Middle with Moses | The Weight in the Waiting | A Hannah Story | Sitting at the Table with Jesus | Learning to Turn | Love Never Fails | Pressed for a Purpose | Making Wise Decisions | Peace in His Presence | Intentional Gratitude | Intentional Connecting | Intentional Listening | Where Are You? | Working as Unto the Lord | What’s Your Love Story? | DISC | Joyful Jethro | Fire & Rest | Getting Past Stuck | Leftovers | The Jericho March | Consistency Counts | Planting Seeds of Hope

Patrick and Amy also support Jebastin, who is an Indian national, in following his dream to open a business-as-mission cafe called “JJ Cafe.” A special donation opportunity for JJ Cafe customers has been created. Customers are invited to “have a cup, give a cup.” The short-term vision is for extra cups of coffee or tea to be anonymously gifted to someone else in need. The longer term desire is to use proceeds from the cafe to provide food and clothing for the homeless in the community and to eventually open a JJ Cafe to shine the light of Jesus in more locations. JJ Cafe hats or aprons are available as a “thank you gift” with any donation of $20 or more toward JJ Cafe start-up costs.
