The call to the ministry. It all started as I approached the ways of God. I never imagined that this could happen to me. My wife became so sick that after three heart attacks, the doctors said she wouldn’t make it. They only gave her one week to live. I did not understand, because at that time we had 4 children aged 11, 5, 4, and 2 years old. It grieved me to think that my children would be left without a mother. I asked God why, because all this happened to me when I decided to follow Him. I did not understand what was happening, because I always heard that God is good and that He loves us. Finally, one day I asked God, “What do You want from me?” It was halfway through the week which the doctors said would be her last. I prayed to God, promising “If You raise her from this bed, I will do whatever you ask. I will go where You send me.” I think that is what God wanted to hear from me because the next day she got up from the bed. At the same time, a group of missionaries came to build a house for us. It was a solid structure made of wood, because our current living conditions weren’t suitable for us. While they were building, I was touched by the great joy with which they worked. The group was led by older people, who sometimes had difficulty getting around, but I was impressed because of the great love that they had, which motivated the younger members of the group. I could see that the love of God is what changes the human heart, because they did not know me. They did not know who I was, but they worked with joy, so that my family and I could have a house. That touched my heart and at that point I believed and had the love of God in my heart. I knew I must show it to other people, helping and serving with abounding joy, showing Christ not only in word, but in deed. From 2007 until now,we have been serving in the work of God. We serve the community through the church where God has placed us, giving food to the children, single mothers, seniors and all those in need. This has not always been easy. In 2012, my wife ended up back in the hospital. The doctors said that it could be liver cancer, but we chose to pray to God. It turned out, she was pregnant with twins. The doctors tried to force my wife to abort the babies, but we decided to trust in God. We refused to go through an abortion although the doctors insisted that both the babies and my wife could die. Glory to God, this April 2019, my daughters turned 7 years old. For that and many other things, my family and I continue to serve God and we seek to help others in our community. pastor. My family and I depend on God and we thank Him because He sustains us. We have the desire to help others, but we do not have the financial means. So we invite you to join us in support, so others can also have that Love of God in their hearts. Together we can reach out to this community, so that God touches their hearts as He has touched yours and mine.
