MINISTRY
Omer is one of the teachers at the “Global Action” seminary in the region of Playa Grande Ixcán, Quiché, Guatemala. Which is 400 km from the Capital City (9 hours) where access to formal theological training is difficult. Omer teaches monthly classes on a double day (morning and evening). Each group is trained according to the particular needs of its community, promoting the inclusion of women and creating an environment of service. After two years of training, each student’s ministry continues to be evaluated and supported spiritually by Omer and his team. Omer and team meet with the former students bimonthly for training and encouragement.
TRAJECTORY
Omer’s ministry in Ixcán is the result of people used by God, who full of faith believe in what God can do through each student, a faith that has led them to renounce themselves to go where they are sent. This is the case of David and Wendy Ashenbrenner, who, obeying God’s call, planted what is now a reality in Ixcán Guatemala. We continue their vision and honor their ministry.
