Bud and his wife, Rita, have a long history of serving in youth and children’s camp ministries. They met in their early 20’s serving at Wolf Mt. Camp in Grass Valley. Bud was working as a counselor of a teen work crew and Rita was a lifeguard. Bud also worked as a young adult at Mt. Hope as a maintenance worker. Later, when their four kids started attending church camps, they dove back into camp ministry. Bud volunteered as a medic and Rita as a counselor and later as an assistant director. Bud was employed with Oroville City Fire Dept. for 16 years and after a successful battle with cancer, was forced to retire. During this time, Bud volunteered at Mt Hope Bible Camp doing vari
ous projects. Bud is currently the Executive Director at Mt Hope Bible Camp and would love to share his amazing story of how God led him back to Mt Hope Bible Camp over a cup of coffee. Bud and Rita currently attend OroNaz Church in Oroville. Bud serves in youth ministries and helps wherever he is needed, and Rita is on staff working in children’s ministries. Bud and Rita enjoy hanging out with family and friends and serving in various ministry and mission opportunities. Bud and Rita are excited for this new challenge God has given them and to see how God is going to work through their lives here at Mt. Hope Bible Camp.
