We are Alberto and Nidia García. We are the happy parents of Aramí who is 3 years old and Kaleb who is 4 months old. We live in Guatemala now but we have a heart for building a ministry in Paraguay, Nidia’s home country. We have a calling to work with children at risk in Paraguay. These children are in need of love, food, education and care, but most important, they need to know Jesus.
When Nidia was a child and a teenager, due to the absence of her parents she experienced the lack of love from them, she suffered from abuse, she had to start working when she was 12. She knows what is to be hungry and spend nights sleeping in the streets. But God is great and one day someone introduced Jesus to her, and she was rescued and saved. That was a life changing experience for her and although life was still hard she was not alone anymore and getting to know Jesus and feeling His love made her life valuable.
That is the reason why we are so passionate about working with these kids because we know Jesus can change their lives and we believe the ministry we’re building can make the difference for them.
I’ve been working with a Medical Ministry for over 6 years. We provide medical attention in different villages in Guatemala and at the same time we spread the gospel. So I’ve seen how important it is for children to feel the love of God, to know Jesus and to have a safe place where they can grow and develop both physically and spiritually. A place where they can find Godly people who will love them and teach them the ways of Jesus.
We, as a family, have spent many hours in prayer and planning and now we have made the decision to move to Paraguay and build this ministry. We have a dream of having a safe and clean place to provide not only food, but love, education, and spiritual guidance to these children and we invite you to join us on this journey. We need you in every possible way. We need your prayers, we need your encouragement and wisdom, we need your financial support. We are very excited to get started and walk thru the doors God has been opened.
